‍SciLake has completed its implementation journey: the ecosystemis integrated, validated with real research communities, and openly available for reuse.

What’s now in place:

• An integrated ecosystem of services, APIs, and entry points that communities can use to create, operate, and reuse domain knowledge graphs.
• A shared data foundation (“scientific lake”) supporting domain-specific knowledge graphs for Cancer, Neuroscience, Energy, and Transport.
• Research-facing capabilities, including:
  • Knowledge discovery, supporting literature exploration, hidden connections, and trend signals
  • Reproducibility support, strengthening research documentation through automated extraction and linking of relevant information

‍- From fragments to insights: Making scientific knowledge discoverable -

On 10 March 2026, SciLake brought together researchers and infrastructure experts for its final dissemination event, “From fragments to insights: Making scientific knowledge discoverable”. With 74 participants from universities, research centres, and public bodies, the session offered a tour of SciLake’s results and panel discussions on how knowledge graphs can turn fragmented research information into actionable insight, from building “living” graphs to uncovering hidden patterns.
