‍What's new in SciLake ‍

‍- SciLake Third Plenary Meeting-

The SciLake project recently conluded its third plenary meeting, hosted by the Eindhoven University of Technology. The two-day event, held on November 27 - 28, 2024, brought together project partners both in person and online to evaluate project progress and strategize for its final year.

-‍ SciLake EOSC Policy Brief -

In a Policy Breif, SciLake outlined its contributions to advancing the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), offering insights to support the European Commission's ongoing policy analysis and development.

- SciLake at EOSC Symposium 2024: Advancing Scholarly Data Interoperability -

The EOSC Symposium 2024 in Berlin marked a significant advancement in scholarly data interoperability. SciLake, in collaboration with partners from GraspOS, OSTrails, and FAIRCORE4EOSC, convened in an unconference session to address critical developmets in data interoperability frameworks.

- SciLake at EUDAT 2024 -

SciLake was at EUDAT 2024 in Karlsruhe, Germany. Our team presented a poster highlighting the development of our Scientific Lake framework for contexualizing knowledge, which builds upon the OpenAIRE Graph and incorporates domain-specific knowledge graphs developed throughout the project.

- AffilGood: Enhancing Scientific Attribution -

Our partners at SIRIS Academic have developed AffilGood, an innovative framework designed to enhance the identification and linking of institutions from raw, multilingual strings, significantly improving affiliation metadata in Scientific Knoeledge Graphs.

‍- EOSC Symposium 2025 -

The EOSC Winter School 2025 will take place in Seville, Spain from January 20-23, 2025. SciLake will participate in the program focused on advancing the EOSC Federation through collorative stakeholder efforts.

The 19th edition of the International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC25) will take place in The Hague, the Netherlands, between 17-19 February 2025. SciLake partners from OpenAIRE will give a lightning talk on Entity Disambiguation method combining algorithms and human expertise.

‍- Save the date for Open Science Fair 2025 -

The 5th Open Science Fair (OSFair) Conference will be held from September 15th - 17th, 2025, at CERN in Switzerland, hosted by CERN's Open Science Section and co-organized with OpenAIRE. This must-attend event aims to reconnect a diverse and influential community of researchers, policymakers, publishers, funders, and open science advocates from around the world.
