OpenAIRE AMKE (OpenAIRE)

Greece
OpenAIRE (OAIRE) is a non-profit legal entity established in 2018 to ensure a permanent presence and structure for a European-wide national policy and open scholarly communication infrastructure. Its mission is to establish, maintain and operate an open and sustainable scholarly communication infrastructure and provide the necessary services, resources and network for supporting a common European open e-research and e-science environment. One of the major products released to the community by OpenAIRE is the OpenAIRE Graph, a large scale, longitudinal SKG connecting publication, datasets, software and other research products from a variety of content providers around the world - including institutional Open Access Repositories, Data Repositories, Data Archives and Journals – for a total of over 142 million metadata records.
OpenAIRE AMKE is a member of the EOSC association and service provider of EOSC Core Services, supporting the EOSC resource catalogue (via the OpenAIRE Graph), EOSC Data Usage Statistics, EOSC Open Science monitoring, and EOSC Open Science training platform.

Role in the project

OpenAIRE contributes its expertise in Open Science and scholarly knowledge management. The OpenAIRE Graph will be a key resource upon which the SciLake services will be built. OAIRE also leads the dissemination, communication and user engagement activities (WP6).
