EVERSE
About
The EVERSE project aims to create a framework for research software and code excellence, collaboratively designed and championed by the research communities, in pursuit of building a European network of Research Software Quality and setting the foundations of a future Virtual Institute for Research Software Excellence.
EVERSE aims to establish a knowledge base around research software quality, coupled with the respective services that facilitate that. SciLake, as a key component of the EOSC ecosystem, is a direct contributor to this knowledge base, while at the same time adopting the relevant best practices.
User Groups
Researchers, Research Performing Organisations, Research Funding Organisations.
Mutual Benefits
EVERSE provides a framework of best practices and tools for research software quality. This framework is directly relevant to the software being implemented within SciLake.
SciLake has accumulated expertise in both SKG generation and resource interoperability. EVERSE can leverage this expertise to create domain-specific SKGs built upon the EVERSE knowledge base for research software quality (RSQkit).
Expected Outcomes and Goals
SciLake implements best practices and services for research software quality to enhance its tools and services. Simultaneously, it contributes to defining domain-specific requirements for best practices and facilitates technology sharing between both projects.
Joint Activities
Members of the SciLake project are also actively involved in the EVERSE project, and closely follow the development of both activities, including early access to the project deliverables. Furthermore, both projects are actively seeking opportunities to participate in joint events.
