The HES-SO Valais-Wallis has established the Institute of Sustainable Energy to provide a multidisciplinary response to major energy transition challenges faced by Switzerland and Europe. The Institute brings together people from different schools of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, merging technical, digital, economic, and social skills. Its activities include the production, management, and storage of renewable energy, the management of multi-energy grids, and the development of electric mobility technologies. Each of the issues addressed and developed solutions includes a thorough assessment of their environmental impact, facilitating decision-making for future carbon-neutral energy systems in the private and public sectors.
