Eindhoven University of Technology (TUE) is a research-driven and design-oriented university with an international outlook, founded in 1956, with 12,000 students and 3,000 staff. It focuses on coherent education, research and knowledge valorization in the fields of engineering science and technology. TUE consistently earns high international recognition for world-class research impact, e.g., taking 1st ranking across all BeNeLux universities in the Shanghai Ranking 2016 for Computer Science and 1st place in Europe in the CWTS Leiden Ranking 2017 of universities for industrial collaboration. The university has attracted 40 individual ERC grants in recent years and currently coordinates over 150 EU-funded projects.

Role in the project

TUE contributes its expertise in knowledge graphs and data mining. TUE is also leading the development of the scientific lake service (WP2).
